a lot of things happened in 2020 and it felt like they would never stop happening

over the course of the year I participated in trash80's weeklybeats project, where we would compose a track a week and upload it. normally this would be something that would allow me to expand my musical palette but I found myself drawn closer and closer to a singular techno sound that I wanted to explore the bounds of. I ended up spending almost the entire year looking for that sound as everything around us happened all the time

this release is a document of that exploration, week by week. I recorded each track, without any arrangements prepared, live on hardware, with minimal post-production

i'd like to think i've gotten closer to whatever i was looking for this year
